Elementary Principal's Welcome
Dear Parents,
It is my pleasure to inform you of the wonderful opportunities students at our school enjoy. We have developed a program that builds a solid foundation for students from all over the world, as they begin their educational career. In all our elementary classrooms, a Western trained teacher and a Chinese Teacher Assistant work together to offer our classes (class size of 20 or smaller) a complete learning experience.
In addition to university training, our staff has been trained to meet our student needs in many areas including phonics, Everyday Math and the all important Third Culture Kid (TCK) lifestyle. The variety of expertise in our staff ensures that students will have a rich and deep experience overseas. Our experienced staff not only will develop your child as a life long learner, but will help them succeed in their life away from their home culture.
Our school families are also highly involved and help to make QMIS a school of excellence. I hope you will visit and meet with me so I can introduce you to some of our students and staff.

Sincerely,
Carl Post
Elementary Principal
Secondary Principal's Welcome
Dear Secondary Parents:
The secondary staff at QMIS are passionate and committed to helping your child reach their full potential and to inspire in them a vision for greatness that will contribute to and impact our world. We believe that to develop student potential more fully, we need to engage their hearts and their minds. Our teachers engage the heart by investing in the lives of their students through the relationships developed both in the classroom and on the sports field, and our program does this by providing interesting and challenging courses aimed to inspire.
The Secondary program offers a rigorous AP program as well as courses that introduce students to a wide variety of contemporary issues; courses that present global concerns and require students to develop, debate, and defend their opinions. Courses such as International Politics, Global Insights, Public Speaking, and Journalism, as well as our participation in MUN (Model United Nations) support this aim. In addition, we believe that our strong emphasis in liberal arts provides our students with a platform from which they can create, express, and inspire a vision for the future.
We believe in the unique potential of your child and our desire is to help them develop this potential to the full.
Sincerely
Debbie-Sue Blanks
Secondary Principal

Have a great holiday! Classes will resume August 13th.
